Apocalypse, biblical Manna, monks, cannibals, Uriel and Artemisia. These are some of the characters in this book. And this book is like life: it is born on the first page and ends with the last page. Between one and the other there are multiple pages, and at the end a tombstone is intended with the identification and the summary of the life divulged to those outside the story. The headstones do not reveal much and I, the author, here to summarize, also inform little. All I can say is that I loved writing this book, that I lived among the characters and that we all know each other. Whoever reads this book will also be part of us. A big hug.

Y este es como la vida: nace con la primera página, el final con la última, y entre una y otra existen múltiples páginas, concluyendo con una lápida donde constan la identificación y resumen de la vida que da a conocer a los demás la historia. Las lápidas de poco informan y yo, la autora, tampoco lo haría si hiciese aquí un resumen. Me complace decir que me encantó escribir este libro, que viví por entre los personajes y que todos nos conocemos. Quien quiera que sea el que lea este libro también formará parte de nosotros. E este é como a vida: tem o nascimento com a primeira página, o fim com a última página, entre um e o outro existem múltiplas páginas, e no fim pretende-se uma lápide constando a identificação e o resumo de vida que dê a conhecer aos demais a história. As lápides pouco informam e eu, a autora, estar aqui a fazer um resumo, pouco iria informar. Apraz-me dizer que adorei escrever este livro, que vivi por entre as personagens e que todos nos conhecemos. Quem ler este livro também fará parte de nós. Um grande Abraço.

The book is entitled “I, Ninfa Artemis”. The story is true. It’s a captivating hypnotic heroic novel.Writing is in my soul and sets me free. My name is Ninfa Artemis (from Portugal). Ninfa is a Portuguese word and means nymph.The book is already finished and translated to English. I hired a Portuguese-American translator from New York City. She has an English degree and bachelor’s in Theater. I’m truly happy when I write, including at this very moment as I type these words to you.My motto in life is: “Where there is a will, there is a way”. The book is mainly based on this. The novel is set in Portugal and London. It involves music (since I’m also a singer and songwriter), psychics, prophecies, love, betrayal, forgiveness (even of those who knew exactly the harm they were inflicting), disappointments, challenges, heartaches, obsessions, hopes and the ways I found to get through, no matter how impossible it seemed. Usually you are a famous singer first, then you write your book telling your story.... First, I will tell my story. The book has five chapters.P.S. Chapter 5 (has poems) refers to a time before I knew I would one day record my own songs (which only happened in 2004). In 2000, in the midst of my heartache, I found an anchor to remain alive by writing poems. None of them rhyme. The feelings they conjure also don’t rhyme with a calm mind. From the deepness of the void that my heart fell into, to my strong spirit of survival that led me to an unknown battlefield, these poems build an amazing story. Simple words, deep meanings and a strong print out of the soul.
(Portuguese) O livro intitula-se "Eu, Ninfa Artemis". A história é verdadeira. É uma hipnótica cativante heróica novela.Escrever está na minha alma. Liberta me e vejo mundos.O meu nome é Ninfa Artemis. O livro foi traduzido também em inglês.Solicitei os serviços de uma tradutora luso-americana da cidade de Nova York. Paralelamente ela tem uma forte paixão pelo teatro e portanto, além de uma licenciatura em Língua Inglesa, tem também bacharel em Teatro.Fico realmente feliz quando escrevo, inclusive neste momento, ao digitar estas palavras para vocês.O meu lema na vida é: "Onde há uma vontade, há um caminho". O livro baseia-se principalmente nisso.O romance desenvolve-se em Portugal e em Londres. Envolve música (dado que eu também sou cantora e compositora), videntes, profecias, amor, traição, perdão (mesmo àqueles que sabiam exatamente o mal que estavam infligindo), deceções, desafios, sofrimentos, obsessões, esperanças e as formas que eu encontrei para caminhar por entre as tempestades, não importando o quão impossível parecia ser a travessia. Normalmente, é-se primeiro uma cantora famosa e só depois se escreve o livro contando a sua história de vida... Eu, primeiro vou contar minha história. O livro tem cinco capítulos. Abraço.P.S. O Capítulo 5 (tem poemas) refere-se a um tempo… antes de eu saber que eu um dia gravaria as minhas próprias músicas (o que só aconteceu em 2004). No ano 2000, no infinito da noite, entre a 1h e as 4h da madrugada, encontrei uma âncora para permanecer viva. Escrevi poemas. Nenhum deles rima. Os sentimentos que eles conjuram também não rimam com uma mente calma. Da profundidade do vazio, sem saber o que eu deveria fazer, o meu forte espírito de sobrevivência falou e levou-me a um campo de batalha desconhecido através de poemas que criaram histórias incríveis. Uma impressão forte da alma ficou escrita.
